We are happy to announce, by request, we have added a new class to our programs.
This foundation-building course focuses on the tools and skills that are the base of any spiritual practice including, but not limited to shamanic study. This year is for your own experience, building stability and maintaining healthy borders. It is also a chance to clarify your way and to learn how to build and maintain lifelong spiritual connections and practices. Our intention is to give you the best possible foundation for your future personal and spiritual growth.
During the year we will learn and practice skills that are required to undertake a spiritual training or path. These skills are becoming less and less common in our fast-paced, information and technology-centered lives. You will learn practices for becoming quiet, for grounding, reflection, discernment and integration. You will also learn about using good judgment, ethical practice and staying safe in the work.
The next starting date is March 2017 for both the Yearlong in Experiential Shamanism and the Foundation Year Training
Why study with us?
We offer a grounded, practical and experience-based approach.
We have small working groups with typically 4 – 6 people per class.
We offer a personalized learning environment with time for questions, critical thinking, reflection, feedback and integration.
Experience: our Yearlong in Experiential Shamanism began in January 1993 and our five-year Certified Shamanic Practitioner® in 1999. Since then, we have graduated 20 one-year classes, 8 four-year classes as well as certifying over 25 professional practitioners trained in guiding and facilitating people on their path of growth and healing.
We have a fantastic international community of graduates who continue to support each other long after graduation.
Please contact us for an informal first interview.
The 2016 class, public and community calendars are now posted. We have the dates for the next two Yearlong classes organized and will be beginning a new two-year professional training for working with “Spiritual Crisis and Spiritual Openings” in the Fall 2017. More to come. Please check back soon!
I would like to take a moment to welcome you to our 25th Anniversary year! This year is dedicated to reflection and celebration of the wonderful and challenging work that we have done together. There are special events planned, a few parties and even a surprise or two in the works. I hope you will join us, either in person or online to check-in, reconnect or discover our community. Here’s wishing you a great year ahead!
The 2012 school year is now complete marking the close to our 24th year. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this a great year. I wish you a quiet and peaceful wintertime and look forward to meeting you in the new year.
Warm greetings, S. Alexander Alich, School Director
